Abstract

 This research aims to improve learning quality and ability for writing story in Muhammadiyah 11 Surakarta Elementary School by applying ASSURE model. The method uses classrom research, which was carried on for five months. The subject of this research fifth grade elementary school in Muhamadiyah 11 Surakarta, which consists of 31 students. The teacher and the student is the source of the data. The techniques used for collecting data are observation, interview, angket, and test. Data source and triangulation uses to ensure the validity. Analyzing data comparative descriptive analysis techniques is used. The result of the research proves learning process cycles I in story writing achieve 60% better than pra research, which achieve less 35%. In cycles II learning process increase get 80%. This research conclute that implementing the learning model of ASSURE is capable of increasing the quality of learning process and students ability for writing story in Muhamadiyah 11 Surakarta fifth grade elementary school.

Abstract

In the learning at school teachers play an important role to create an environment learned that can stimulate students with a maximum development. This study use sthe design of Classroom Action Research is done in two cycles. Data collection techniques used were observation with the observation sheet instruments that equipped with assessment guide lines and photographs as documentation, while the techniques of data analysis performed quantitative descriptive. The results of this study showed an increase in the quality of social learning. Comparison cognitive skills of students at the pre-cycle only 38%, whereas at the end of first cycle have 68,75%, and at the end second cycle there were 93,75%. While comparison interest learn students at the pre-cycle is 32,25%, first cycle is 82% and at the end second cycle there were 93,75%.

Abstract

This is qualitative description research about implementation of Problem Based Learning method and image media in learning Indonesian with reading material story. The purpose of this study, are: 1) describe the application of learning model Problem Based Learning and media images in reading story; 2) describe the involvement of the student, and 3) describe the ability to read stories fifth grade students of SDN Sambirejo 3. The subjects of this research were students and teachers Indonesian class V SDN Sambirejo 3 2015/2016 school year. Data collected through observation, interview, test, and document analysis. The validity of the data used two techniques, the triangulation of methods and triangulation of data sources. Comparative critical analysis technique is a technique of data analysis in this study. Application method of Problem Based Learning and Media Images in reading stories had some problems. These obstacles include: (1) the teacher has not been accustomed to in the application of methods, (2) the students still were not fully explore the capabilities of learning, and (3) time management was  less appropriate. From learning activities that have been carried out, there was an excess obtained among other things, teachers were able to use the media images properly and the students also enjoyed using the learning with media images, as well as student activity developed well in the classroom. The final value of learning is as below the average value of 77.2 with the percentage of completeness 85% or 17 students. Based on the finding of research, it can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning method and the use of media images can make students active in learning and reading skills increased

Abstract

 The objective of this research is to investigate the planning and implementation telling skill the use of cartoon puppet media of the student in Grade IV of State Primary School of Tladan 2, Kawedanan, Magetan.This research used the qualitative research method. The source of this research were Principal, Class Teacher of Grade IV, and the students in Grade IV by using interview, and observation. They were analyzed by using the interactive model of analysis comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing of verification.The results of research are as follows: 1) the planning of telling by teacher with preparing the annual program, the semester program, the details of effective weeks, the journal of teaching, lesson plan, syllabus development and the development of assessment systems, 2) Implementation of the learning skills of telling is packed with a variety of methods and media puppet cartoon. Teachers began teaching with fun activities for the creation of learning readiness, motivation and interest in learning in students. Teachers utilized cartoon puppet media in learning storytelling in the fourth grade to get a great result for students for example: interested in learning, motivation, self-confidence and have the ability to tell a coherent accordance with the storyline.

Abstract

 Research and development is intended to produce multimedia learning course on Computer and Media Education for students of primary school teaching as a viable learning medium. The research was conducted with the adaptation of the model development research Borg & Gall. These stages are the preliminary study stage include library research and field study. Product development phase include planning, design learning, producing multimedia and expert validation. Pilot phase trial products include a one-one, small group and large group. Subject trial Prodi PGSD fourth semester student. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations, the results were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) multimedia learning has been generated through five stages of development; (2) the feasibility aspects of learning, content, appearance and technical learning multimedia product is included in both categories with a score of 4.08 in a row; 4.32; 4.00; and 4.07; and (3) learning multimedia product can improve the effectiveness of learning computer courses and learning media. These results make it worth the learning multimedia learning courses as a source of Computer and Media Education for Teachers' Training College students Prodi PGSD PGRI Madiun.

Abstract

This study aims to encourage teachers to open up the flow of his thoughts and give an overview for teacher to constantly think very reflective of what has done, doing, and will do in the classroom. The research was conducted three times meeting in SDN Pangarangan I Sumenep , SDN Kolor II Sumenep , and SDN Pandian I Sumenep. The methods used in this study are qualitative and quantitative. The data was obtained as follows : (1) the process of development of teachers in designing lesson plans elementary mathematics is done through a phase of defining, designing, and development; (2) the quality of teachers in developing learning tools is increasing , the quality of teachers in managing learning activities is increasing, and the quality of teachers in materialize learning is increasing while the results of a student's response to learning that has done get  good response then obstacles/barriers during the learning process only was found in trials meeting 1 for SDN Kolor II is located on teachers and SDN Pandian I is located on the teachers and students are not found obstacles/barriers during the learning process at SDN Pangarangan I; (3) the results of the application of reflective teaching is considered successful because of increased quality at every meeting held.The results of this research as a scientific contribution in the field of education on improving the quality of Primary teacher in teaching mathematics through the application of reflective teaching that  both innovative and easy to apply in teaching.Keywords: Teacher Quality, Reflective Teaching .

Abstract

 This research is aimed to investigate: 1) Teacher’s understanding about Diponegoro’s value struggle in Elementary school Diponegoro, 2).the implementation of Diponegoro’s Value Struggle on Social Learning 3) The barriers which are faced implementation Diponegoro’s value struggle in Elementary School Diponegoro. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Results of this research are: 1) teacher’s understanding about Diponegoro’s value struggle is in the form of religious attitude, honesty, care and the spirit of nasionalism. 2). Diponegoro values have been inserted into learning set.3) barriers faced by teacher in implementation Diponegoro’s value struggle as in Elementary School Diponegoro is the negative effect of globalization to the student and the lack of learning resources.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influense of self-concept and discipline in learning, either directly or indirectly on mastery of concepts of natural science. The research method used was a survey, with a sample size of 75 students, drawn by simple random sampling technique from primary school in the area of South Jakarta. Data collection used a questionnaires that have been validated and the data values from  the results of the written test students. Data analisys used path analisy, with the first test of normality, linearity test and multikolinearity test. The implications of this study were obtained, namely : that there is a direct influence on the discipline of self-concept study is r12 = 0,617 and P21= 0,617, there is a direct influence on concept mastery learning discipline of natural science is r12 = 0,407 and P21= 0,306, self-concept does not directly influence mastery of concepts of natural science is r13 = 0,352 and P31= 0,163.

Abstract

The crisis of moral and character are serious talk and continuously. Indonesia has problem in moral and character crisis. Last month and also latest few years aggressively presented how the moral destruction of children, for example: sexual harassment and sexual abuse happen everywhere. In fact, the fate of the nation depends on them. Children are a golden generation that will continue struggle of the founders of this nation. That fact becomes our responsible, not just the government, teachers and parents and the environment. All citizens must intervene to face both moral and character emergency. Therefore, children's literature comes to a repair process and the moral character of the nation. Children's literature should be re-presented and enjoyed by them. The purposes of the study are: 1) describe a study of moral teachings and character found in fable The Tale of Tales of State and, 2) recommends that children's literature can be interesting and fun for teaching materials.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the mathematics learning process in class includes readiness of teacher before learning process, implementation and evaluation and follow up. It was a qualitative research. The subjects were taken by purposive sampling. The subjects of this research were mathematics teacher. Data collection techniques in this research were interviews and observation. Technical validity of the data used is triangulation time. The data analysis technique used was consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of this study were (1) teacher preparedness before learning process are by preparing syllabus, lesson plan (RPP), media and learning resources before the learning process begins. (2) the mathematics learning implementation in class done through three activities: pre activity, whilst activity and post activity (3) in evaluation and follow-up stage, teachers plan follow-up activities in the form of remedial learning, enrichment programs, counseling services for students (4) Factors and constraints experienced from slow learners child is may lose interest in the task and refused to resume the task.
